Digital Marketing Assistant – Open

Platypus Digital is looking for a Digital Marketing Assistant to join our PPC team full-time.

This is a hands-on learning role where you’ll support the delivery of paid search campaigns for our charity clients. You’ll be part of a small team working across Google Ads (including Ad Grants), Microsoft Ads and analytics tools, with support from your manager and a named Executive peer. You’ll learn how to plan, build and monitor campaigns, while building up your skills through real project work, structured development and regular feedback.

From day one, you’ll be on a clear progression pathway toward becoming a PPC Executive, with regular opportunities to practise new skills and take on more responsibility over time. You’ll also get 10% of your time to work pro bono for a cause you care about.

We welcome non-graduates and applicants from outside the charity sector. You don’t need formal experience, but we’re looking for someone who can show a clear interest in digital marketing – for example, through self-directed learning, freelance work, or personal projects that show curiosity, creativity and initiative.

Role details

Location: We have a hybrid office setup with an office in London Bridge, SE1. Most people split their time between their home and the office. We’re not currently accepting remote-only applications for this role.

You’ll be expected to work from the office for around 29% of the year (around 63 days), including for client meetings, team days, and other key activities. This varies month to month but is designed to support flexibility and balance.

Role type: Full-time, permanent

Flexible working: We support day-to-day flexibility with your working hours. You can occasionally adjust your start and finish times around the team’s usual working hours (usually between 10am and 4pm) to accommodate personal commitments like school runs or appointments. These adjustments are agreed with your manager and can vary week to week; they’re not permanent changes to your working pattern.

This role is not open to part-time hours, compressed hours, or other formal flexible working arrangements.

Salary:

  • London-based: £27,000 – £29,000
  • Outside London: £24,000 – £26,000, plus up to £3,000 travel allowance

We offer a higher salary range for London-based team members, as our office is in London Bridge and we know the costs of travel and living in the city can be higher. For those based outside London, we provide a travel allowance to help support office visits when needed.

We value time spent together as it helps us collaborate, learn from each other and feel more connected. That’s why we encourage regular office time across the year to allow for client meetings, team days, and shared planning, while balancing this with the flexibility to manage your work in a way that suits you.

New starters always begin at the bottom of the range and are eligible for a stage review within their level after six months in their role.

Closing date for applications: Monday, 30th June 2025 at 8am
